My husband, Bill, quietly announced last night that he forgot about Valentine’s Day. His love of a grandmother died a few days ago and it’s been hard on him,  me, and the whole family. She was one of “those” fantastic women who loved hard and laughed loud and baked an amazing apple pie. Like, no joke, amazing.

But the whole Valentine’s Day is just 1 day. It’s the other 364 days where the shit gets real. He is the ultimate team player. Taking over all of my long work nights, cooking dinner for me to come home to, being an amazing father and playmate, making me laugh and being THE anchor for my flighty doubts, concerns and fears. He’s calmed my happy ass down for almost 20 years. I like him a lot. SO! In honor of Valentine’s Day, I wanted to resurrect the Top 5 in 26 days for the dream team couples who I have had the honor to coach and who have inspired me.

Ted & Kristen. Aren’t they cute? They are rad for these reasons:

-Ted showed up as the only guy Imagein my boot camp on Kristen’s recommendation. Oh, and they have 3 little kids. Who does that? Ted kicked so much ass and ended up running a marathon. Then Ted watched (3!) kids while Kristen rocked boot camp. -Kristen has been a huge support to RE and I love these two!

This, everybody, is love. Plain and simple.

They were in the same Couch to 5k class. They encouraged each other and inspired me.  I miss you ladies. I hope you are as happy as you look for the rest of your life.

Jennifer & Derek:

Holy Transformation Batman! These two were in Couch to 5k and took off from there. Completing numerous races together and it’s something that they do, as the cute couple they are. You two are amazing. Congratulations on ALL that you have accomplished.

Harris & Maryam:

Harris is amazing! He would come out to half and full marathon groups, sometimes a half hour late and catch up to everyone, then chat it up! Then lovely Maryam joined the Couch to 5k class after having her 3rd child. Such a great example you two are setting for your kids and for in your circle.

Sarah and her sister, Karen, were in my Couch to 5k class 5 years ago. I didn’t think Sarah was enjoying the ride of running. At. All. But she stuck to it and got her husband to run, and he joined the Rock It class. They have been rocking it ever since. Nice job you two. I am so very proud of you.
